A nutty swiss cheese from St Gallen
Made by cheesemaker Walter Rass, Challerhocker is made only with raw milk from Alpine summer grazing pasture cows. The Rass family has been specialist cheesemakers of the traditional Appenzeller since 1895. As the latest son took over in 1992, he realised the potential to expend their range. Challerhocker was set to be their new bench mark cheese only made from Jersey cow’s milk.
Washed with a brine of herbs and spices for a minimum of 12 months, this unique Swiss cheese has a dense texture with a great depth of flavour. The straw coloured paste is nutty and rich with small crystals developing from the maturation. A great cheese to nibble on or melt for the perfect toasties.
You are able to order the cheese individually or as a package.
The cut-off date for ordering this Offer is Sunday 18th September. Parcels will be sent from Monday 19th September onward and Pick ups will be available from the same date.
